Skilled Labourer

Full-Time - Vancouver, BC

Job Description

Luxton Construction is a diverse, multidisciplinary contractor specialized in logistically challenging and complex public works projects.

We are looking for full-time Skilled Labourers to join our team. In this role, you will be assigned to one of our construction jobs where you will be hands-on, under supervision of a working foreman. Employees receive $50/working day living out allowance, and paid accommodation for work performed outside of the lower mainland, or home base on top of wages.

Qualifications

Experience in the construction industry (carpentry, concrete work, and structural steel is an asset)
Ability to operate machinery is an asset
Ability to lift, handle, and move 50lbs for short periods
Willingness to travel for work
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Safety conscious and willing to adhere to all safety policies and practices
Willingness to work outside exposed to all weather elements

Positive attitude, punctual, reliable, engaged, and able to communicate efficiently in a team environment
Flexible to take on a variety of tasks
Ability to work both independently and under direct supervision
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work extended hours if required to meet deadlines

Construction: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent (preferred)

Schedule

10 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends
