Work of this Contract comprised of demolition of an existing retaining wall and installation of a new retaining wall at Dockyard 70.

Scope of Work

  • Removal and replacement of existing utilities, including removal and reinstatement of existing above ground and below ground structures including the overhead steam lines, their support structure over the roadway, the underground steam trench and steam lines, the comms duct and associated hydro pole, and retaining walls around the existing accessible parking stall
  • Demolition and removal of the existing retaining wall
  • Excavation
  • Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, catch basins and cleanouts
  • Installation of water services, hydrants and valves
  • Temporary water main bypass piping and service connections to maintain water service to all buildings and hydrants
  • Backfill of engineered fill up to the underside of the new retaining wall foundation
  • Construction of the new retaining wall including foundations and buttress walls
  • Installation of drainage pipe
